At the outset, Sh. Ramcharan Bohra deeply expresses his gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi ji and blessings of Hon’ble Union Home Minister Sh. Amit Shah Ji for having given him the opportunity to serve the people of Jaipur as an MP to the 17th Lok Sabha. He also acknowledges with pride the faith and the affection of people of his constituency for having elected him with the highest votes in the country and has dedicated himself for the betterment of his constituency. He has very aggressively put forward their long awaited demands of Jaipur in the Lok Sabha. Some of his untiring efforts at the Lok Sabha during last one year are reflected as follows:
It is a fact that Durgapura and Gandhinagar Railway Stations have emerged important sub-urban railway stations of Jaipur catering nearly 40% of population of Jaipur. Sh. Bohra has empathetically demanded that all trains crossing these two stations should be halted there; pressed hard for speedy completion of electrification of Jaipur-Sawaimadhopur Railway line; for increase in the number of plate-forms at main Jaipur Railway Station; for early completion of dedicated freight corridor which alone will generate tremendous employment opportunities not only for Jaipur but also for entire Rajasthan; for more number of direct trains to connect South India should be introduced besides having made impressive presentation on railway budget in the Lok Sabha. Sh. Bohra is a member of Parliamentary Consultative Committee of Indian Railways.
Sh. Bohra is concerned with acute shortage of drinking water supply in Jaipur and to address this issue logically, he has prepared detailed project report for regenerating and recharging Kalakh Dam and Ramgarh Dam for increasing the supply of drinking water to the walled city. He has raised the issue of making Jaipur as slum free city and demanded for ducting project whereby all electric wires will be underground in walled city. He has also demanded special economic package for Jaipur city.
It is a fact that a large number of people of Rajasthan origin live in Bangkok, Singapore, Hong-Kong etc. in connection with Gems and Jewellery business. In order to take this business to next level of growth, Sh. Bohra has demanded for direct air connectivity with these cities. He has also impressed upon the Civil Aviation Ministry to re-start air service connecting Golden Triangle Delhi-Jaipur-Agra for promoting domestic tourism and urged for the permission to start regular air taxi services for short distance in the State.
Sh. Bohra has insisted on promoting tourism; stopping cruelty against animals; restructuring and modernization of state Electricity Boards; enhancing investment in food processing industry etc; availability of agriculture loan at reduced interest rate, availability of fertilizers, seeds and electricity at concessional rates; demanded the setting up of various skill development centres to generate employment through textile, handicrafts, tourism, medical tourism etc. including for unemployed women of his constituency.
His one year at the Lok Sabha has been impressive and he has also been appointed as a member on Parliamentary Standing Committee of Urban Development & Housing Committee.
It is a good beginning for serving his constituency yet miles to go before he realises his dreams of clean and green, safe and peaceful, growth and developed Swach Jaipur as a part and parcel of Swach Bharat Abhiyan.
